Chirag D. Mehta is a named partner with King, Moench, Hirniak, and Mehta LLP. Matthew joined the firm after merging his own successful law practice, the Law Offices of Chirag D. Mehta, LLC.

Chirag currently provides representation to numerous public clients. He is Assistant City Attorney in the City of Orange. He also serves as a municipal prosecutor in multiple municipalities including the Township of Irvington, Township of Franklin, and Middlesex Borough.
Prior to establishing his own firm, Chirag worked in private practice for over a decade, specializing in general litigation and criminal defense.

Chirag is proficient in Gujarati (Indian), which allows him to communicate effectively with clients that primarily converse in that dialect.
Chirag is member of the Morris County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association, including the Solo/Small Firm and Municipal Court sections. Chirag is also a member of the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey, and as an NAACP local legal counsel.

Chirag obtained his law degree from City University of New York Law School, where he received a Public Interest Fellowship Award. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst, with a double major in political science and legal studies.
